What temperature range can E6000 adhesives withstand?
The application temperature range for E6000 is 10 °C to 32 °C. Once cured, E6000 can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 66 °C.
Is E6000 adhesives UV resistant?
Cured E6000 adhesive can be painted with a suitable UV Sealer for maximum resistance.
Can E6000 be used on poly foam?
No. Standard E6000 can not, however E6000 Spray adhesive is suitable polystyrene, polyethylene or polypropylene plastics.
Is E6000 better than Super Glue?
While super glue is good for a quick temporary fix, E6000 is quite the opposite. It takes longer to cure, however it sets strong, clear and permanent. E6000 won't become brittle and crack like super glue can.
Will E6000 crack or break under stress or vibrations?
E6000 adhesive will dry to a rubber-like consistency which makes it flexible and moves with the vibrations rather than failing.
How should I store my E6000 after opening?
Ensue the lid is tightly sealed and store in a cool dry environment. In hot climates, wrap the tube in plastic and store in a fridge. Return to room temperature before opening and use.
How long does E6000 take to dry?
E6000 starts getting tacky in around 2 minutes and begins setting in 10 minutes. A full cure takes between 24 and 72 hours.
Remember, temperature and humidity will affect dry time.
How do I clean up E6000 adhesives?
Uncured E6000 will roll off most surfaces. You can also use a small amount of acetone. Cured E6000 can be cut or scraped off.
